Creating a Fringed Background

Hello and welcome to the Gossamer Blue blog today. It’s me, Sandra , and I would like to share an idea for how you can create your own background for your creative projects. All you need is some paper, fringe scissors (or ordinary scissors) and some stickers to decorate your projects.

I created a fancy fringed background for today’s card by cutting different pieces of paper from the April Main Kit with my fringe scissors. Starting at the bottom of a blank 4×6 card, I glued the different pieces of fringed paper on top of each other and covered the entire background of the card.

If you haven’t got a fringe scissors, no problem :), you can make fringes with ordinary scissors too. Just grab a piece of paper and cut the fringes one by one. Fringed backgrounds look great on cards, but they can also be used for other projects including scrapbook layouts or gift tags.

Today’s card is an idea for a travel-themed voucher card. If you’re planning to invite someone for a (weekend) trip as their birthday present, you can add travel-themed stickers from the April Main Kit to go along with the fringed background. On the inside of the card, you can let them know how much you’re looking forward to the trip and also add details of the trip.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you like my inspiration. Have a great day!
