Every month I eagerly anticipate seeing what my fellow crafters/design team members created with the kits. I’m never disappointed and always experience the “why didn’t I think of that” moment. February was no exception. I was particularity inspired by fellow Design Team member, Eunyoung Lee’s “Happy” layout.
I loved the fun and playful feeling created with the circles above the photo and wanted to duplicate that for my layout.
I started by picking a fun mix of patterned paper from the Main Scrapbook Kit and Add-Ons along with my circle punches in a few different sizes.
Now that my circles are punched, I selected a few embellishments and printed my photo and I’m ready for the fun part of putting paper to glue.
I placed a large caption above my photo and the title below the photo.
I arranged the punched circles above the photo and filled in the empty spots with a few embellishments. I also added some machine stitching to the larger circles and added a few ink splatters, similar to Eunyoung’s layout.
Kits used: Scrapbook Main Kit, Main Add-On, Add-On #2, Life Pages Kit, Life Pages Add-On #3.
The photo is of two of my very close friends. I had a lot I wanted to say about them and what they mean to me but didn’t want to distract from the design of the layout so I did my journaling on a separate piece of paper and attached it to the back of the photo.
I hope this inspires you to pull out your punches and create a similar layout.
