Please help us welcome our fabulous July guest designer…Mandy Koeppen!

Mandy currently designs for Jillibean Soup, Chic Tags, October Afternoon, Therm O Web, and Hip Kit Club .
Q: How did you get started scrapbooking?
A: How’d I get started…I created my first scrapbook mini album after Teagan was born in 2002 but wasn’t too passionate about it. Fast forward to 2006 I gave birth to baby number 3, at the same time Mav was 18months old and diagnosed with Autism. I needed an outlet for the stress of life, something to tell our stories, and just be creative so that’s when I became more passionate about scrapbooking. In the last 5 years I guess is when I started putting my work out there, getting published, and designing for manufacturers and kit clubs.
Q: How did you get on your first design team?
I just kept trying and trying. After a whole lot of NO’s I finally got a phone call on a really hot afternoon and if you can believe it I almost didn’t answer the phone but I did. On the other end of the line was a sweet voice asking me to join the Scrap N Circle online store design team to which I was totally baffled since I didn’t know they called, I thought I had no chance, and what my brain was to hot to handle news like this so I answered YES! Hours later it sank in I was so excited it was finally that break in the ice I need, that booster in confidence, and like the little train I knew I could and just kept trying after that.
We are so thrilled to have Mandy with us this month. Come back tomorrow for more projects and questions/answers!
