June Sketch

Welcome to the Gossamer Blue July Sketch Challenge!

This month we asked subscriber Michelle Wedertz to join us!

Michelle Wedertz

Michelle says: When working on my layout, I kept to the basic design of the sketch making a few modifications as I went.ย  I chose to move both pictures together because it helped tell my story about my son jumping into my shot.ย  I made the circles more of minor detail as opposed to a main feature by using enamel dots, chipboard buttons, and punching small circles from the vellum.

And here is design team member Kasia Przybyt’s take on the sketch:

Kasia says:I really like working with sketches! With them my work is super quick and I donโ€™t have to think too much about composition, I just have to focus on colors and patterns. I usually work with 1 photo layouts so when I saw this one I smiled, I like challenges ๐Ÿ™‚

Another challenge I added for myself was using a semi dark background (Iโ€™m white card stock kind of gal). All in all Iโ€™m really happy how it worked out. This was a great sketch and real fun to work with ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay. Itโ€™s YOUR TURN!

Show us your take on theย  June sketch by sharing it in the Gossamer Blue Sketch Challenge Gallery. We will announce a winner with the next Sketch Challenge on July 29 ! The prize will be a $10 Gift Card to Gossamer Blue.
