Hello crafty friends! I’m happy to be back on the Gossamer Blue blog today with another Lipfe Pages spread. This time I thought it would be fun to share with you my personal album.
Since the weekly spreads I create for our family album are always overflowing with family activities I thought it would be fun to create my own personal album where I can share my favorite items or pictures.
This is just a fun addition to the 9×12 family album, I enjoy telling me story this way and hopefully, one day, my daughters will enjoy reading it.
To create this spread I used items from the May Life Pages kit. I just adore the new exclusive items that are designed for the GB kits. The mix of chipboard elements, stickers and die cuts offer such a wide array of elements to work with, it’s always a treat to create projects with my GB kits.
This month’s kit is full of bright and happy colors and patterns, such a refreshing color palette! I always enjoy working with diecuts and the ones included in the kit are especially fun.
This 3×4 journaling card was already wonderful on its own but I decided to create a focal point by adding a diecut word paired with a sticker label and a chipboard star. The journaling was added with my electric typewriter, it is far from perfect, I don’t strive for perfect, good enough works for me.
Oh my my, I love stamps!!!! This LP stamp set is definitely amazing!! I decided to create a custom card using plain cardstock and the happy stamp. I’m not the most creative stamper but this method is rather easy and fun too.
I didn’t aim for perfection, instead I randomly stamped the happy outline stamp on the card and added color with the happy full stamp. Some of the images matched perfectly, others not so much and that’s ok! I love how this little card turned out. The chipboard shape was the perfect accent to the happy stamp. So fun!
As you can see my personal LP album is fun and simple, sometimes I will add a lot of journaling other times not so much.
This album is another excuse to document all those pictures of coffee or selfies that just don’t make it in our family album.
Another thing worth mentioning is that my album is divided by months, I added monthly tabs to the side of my page protectors, this way I am not “stuck” to do weekly spread. Some months I will have more pictures and other months not as much.
How do you tell your story?! If you don’t maybe it’s time to start a personal LP album.
