We’d love for you to meet our October guest designer… Steffi Reid!
My name is Steffi and my home is a small village in the south part of Germany. Here I live with my daughter and my husband. I would say my big passion is my love for paper craft, photography and colors! All these things have accompanied me all my life. I started scrapbooking in 2012 and I love to play with all the beautiful patterned papers, embellishments and watercolors. My layouts, mini albums and photos are mostly about my little girl, our travels and the little moments in my life.
And here are some facts, which I also love…
I enjoy my life as a mommy, to travel, beach cruiser, chocolate, warm summer evenings and I love to listen to movie soundtracks during my scrapbooking-sessions. I´m thrilled to be a guest designer this month!
Q: What is your favorite storage method for scrapbooking items?
A: I love old baskets from flea markets. They are perfect for all the paper pads, stamps and other things. Also I love cute colorful bowls for embellishments. All other things are in boxes and in my IKEA cupboard.
Q: How did you get started scrapbooking?
A: I started 3 years ago with some mini albums. After my daughter was born I was looking for ideas to create albums about her first year and I found some great pages about scrapbooking.
Q:Do you follow trends? If so, what is your favorite right now and how do you incorporate it into your work?
A: Trends…yes! They are an inspiration for me but I’m not follow every single trend. Currently I love GOLD! Sequins, alphastickers, papers…And I like also more and more silver and bronze.
A: My sewing machine – I can not life without, haha.
sequins – perfect for confetti pockets and shaker bags
painting – I love it as pops of colors on my projects. I doesn’t matter if they are acrylics, watercolors, gelatos,…
Q: How did you get on your first design team?
A: I received an email from a German shop owner and she told me that she like my work. I was really surprised and very happy.
Q: Any advice for those wanting to design on a team?
A: Hmmm… I think, the important thing is to have FUN and to make it with passion! I’m sure that everybody can see when you love what you do and this could be an inspiration for others.
Didn’t Steffi rock these kits? We sure think so. We are absolutely in love with everything she made…talke about talented! Thanks again, Steffi!
