Hello everyone, Cindy here with you today with another project 12 entry. Summertime in July is always exciting and fun. Like most, we spend a lot of time soaking up the sun, hanging out by the pool, road tripping to new places, etc. We were very lucky to spend an ample amount of quality time with our family and friends.
We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary, attended a close friends daughters wedding, had fun at a pool party on Independence day, the kids had their best buddies stay overnight, toured DC with new friends and celebrated a little ones Christening. Some images are pictured, some are not. But all put into words so the memory can be remembered. It was definitely a month we will always remember.
So, with the two favorite products in this months kits, Pebbles, Inc. library pockets and American Crafts stitched vellum pockets, I thought, why not add the two pocket elements to the outside of my spread. Everything does not always have to be tucked inside the sleeves of each page protector. Plus, I like the interactive feel the two elements give to my spread. This process made it even more exciting to complete. The library pocket on the first page keeps saved email note from my son and on the second page the stitched vellum pockets holds all of our movie tickets with each movie listed on top of the pocket.
My son bought his cousins iPod and I saved the Apple gift card packaging and added the punched shape to a sheet of vellum that acts as a cover for the journaling spread and finished it off with a tab sticker. On the backside of the journaling spread, I added a few decorative embellishment pieces fill in a little of the open space.
The Project 12 challenge is simple:
Whether you take 1 photo or 100 photos per month, you have a life to document. Each month, your challenge is to document your life on a layout. Davinie is using divided page protectors to document her life on a 2-page spread. She will have 12 2-page layouts at the end of the year that will be housed together in 12×12 albums and displayed so her family can look at them anytime they like.
