Hey there, Neftali here! I am so excited to be sharing my first design team project with all of you. I have decided to start by sharing a 12×12 layout using the February Main Kit, as those two ingredients put together are my all time fave!
The February Main Kit was filled with so many amazing Valentine’s themed goodies along with bold and bright colors. I was so excited to get into it as my son was born on Valentine’s Day, so I knew I wanted to scrap some kind photo for his baby book. I went ahead and chose one of myself when I was about 32 weeks pregnant.
I fell in love with one of the Simple Stories cardstock sheets filled with XO’s in all kinds of cute patterns so I decided to use it as a center rectangle base for my layout.
I then went in with my sewing machine and added a sort of frame around the cardstock with different stitches. This is the perfect technique to bring full attention to the center of my page.
I used a few more sheets from the kit to add a little layering detail to back my photo. I also added I few stickers from the Simple Stories sticker pack to add more layers and patterns behind the photo.
To embellish around my photo I added a few cute hearts as if they were “floating away” from my photo and, of course, splatters!
The Fancy Pants Designs Ephemera pack included in the kit was filled with thoughtful words and cute flowers that went perfect with my layout so I popped a few of those on!
I added my title using these cute black alpha stickers, plus the sweetest sticker quote that says “Loved you yesterday, Love you Still. Always have & Always will.” How cute is that?!
A few more splatters, a sweet little quote, washi, and a detail at the bottom of the page using the adorable label flags set completed my layout.
This simple layout is filled with cute quotes, lots of hearts, and that Valentine’s Day feel I love so much because of my little Valentine baby.
I really love the simple and clean look because it really helped bring my photo into focus. That’s always my favorite part about scrapbooking!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are enjoying your month of love and friendship and that you’ve got your February kits out for scrapping all the love that’s in the air. Be back soon, have yourself a lovely day!
