Snowflake Ornaments

#ornaments by Sabrina Alery for Gossamer Blue

Hello! One of my favorite traditions during the holidays is making ornaments with the kids for our tree. I like a mix of classic, rustic Christmas with a touch of modern and a sprinkle of glam so the November kits were perfect for creating these snowflake ornaments!

These have lots of paper layers and are finished off with each of our initials.

To create these ornaments, you’ll need some patterned papers and embellishments from the November Kits, a die cutting machine (electronic or manual), and a liquid adhesive. Cut duplicates of the shapes with cardboard to make the ornaments sturdier.

Apply the glue to the cardboard and adhere to the corresponding patterned paper shape. Allow to dry.

Next, center and layer the individual pieces of the ornament. A foam adhesive in between each layer gives a nice boost.

Pierce a hole in the bottom layer of the ornament and add a tie. Add the initial sticker at this point too.

And here is the finished ornament!

Thanks for stopping in today! Wishing you a very happy holiday season.
