Gossamer Blue

Suzanna’s Pocket Pages

Hey friends! I’m so excited to be back with another blog post this month! The March kits have such fun and vibrant colors – perfect for getting in the mood for spring.

I used the main kit to create a two page spread documenting a little best friend time I had with my bestie! The patterned papers were calling my name, so I had to trim them down into cards for my pocket pages.

For embellishments, I focused on stickers because they were perfect for how I was feeling about the memories (super happy!!)

I also wanted to do a little journaling on a card with a dark/heavy pattern. I used a little white acrylic paint to create a very thin and intentionally messy layer over the card. You can see the pattern through the paint, but the white layer makes my writing pop so it’s easier to read.

To add a little dimension, I popped that “yes” wood veneer piece up on a piece of foam and layered it over a fun washi strip. I love the way that piece adds my exact feeling of “YES!!” to the journaling below it.

I finished off these pages by making a card using my favorite patterned paper from the main kit and the cutest sticker I have ever seen – that little bear.

This really was a perfect day, so I’m so happy I was able to document that in a way that did the memories justice.

I can’t wait to share more crafty goodness with you next month! Until then, I’ll see y’all on Instagram!
