Hi everyone! Stephanie here with you today to share some creative ways for using alpha in your Life Pages album!! I love the set of alphas that are included with the Life Pages kit each month. They coordinate so well with all of the kits and they are so fun to add to your album.
Here are some of my favorite ways to incorporate the alphas into my book!
I added a two page insert into my album of our recent trip to the State Fair. My kids had such a fun time and I couldn’t resist adding several photos to our book. Since I had already mentioned our trip to the fair on my “weekly events” card from that week, I decided to create a large title in the center of my page. I simply slipped in blank pieces of what paper in the middle photos and then added my title right on top of the page protector. I liked the dimension the letters added!
I typed my journaling onto my photo and wanted to add a little extra to the bottom right hand corner. The neutral color of the alpha were perfect for spelling out “walk” as a little embellishment on my photo! As you can see, I ran the photo through my sewing machine to stitch the letters down. The definitely stay on paper and photos without any problem, but I love the look that stitching adds.
This week documented Halloween and I wanted to include my children’s costumes on my page somehow. I decided to mix up some typed text with the alpha on one of the blank journaling cards from the shop. I started by measuring the alpha and then marking my blank card where I wanted to alpha to stick. Then I typed my text on my typewriter, placed my alphas and then stitched them down. I love how the names pop off the card!!
That’s it from me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
