Using Transparent Elements on Your Projects

Hi! all~ Happy Thursday! It’s Jina here with you today.

Recently there are many sorts of transparent embellishments in scrapbooking. Absolutely it’s a trend! right? GB Kits are no exception. I really love the various transparencies and vellums in the January kits because they add unique dimensions to my projects. And I’m going to show you how I used them to create a layout.

For this month’s post I chose mainly American Crafts photo overlays and Studio Calico transparent letters from the January kits.

I lightly painted gesso and green watercolors on the white cardstock.

And then I arranged the photo overlays and alpha diecuts .

Put the stitches along side of photo overlays using sewing machine and put some sequins, wood veneers and vellum diecuts into the pocket.

Finally I added the other embellishments to complete this layout.

Making transparency pockets is an easy and efficient method to add some fun textures and pops of colors into your design. Try to make fun fun pocket with confetti, sequins, gemstone and anything else you want!
